Sorry things have not been working out for you. A year of clomid is certainly reason enough to go see a fertility specialist. In general, if IUIs are going to work then success will come within the first 3 cycles. Given the duration of your infertility and the failure to conceive with clomid and 2 IUIs, I think that IVF may be the treatment to consider. Right now we have no idea if an egg and sperm are ever getting together...At least IVF would help answer that question...

Most commonly biochemical pregnancies are genetic in origin as the embryo was normal enough to implant but not normal enough to keep growing. Any heavy bleeding that is unusual is a reason to at least check in with your doctor...
