I feel so depressed.  I feel alone.  I have had three unsuccessful IVFs at Dominion as well.  I am supposed to start again in Feb 2012, but I am starting to think I am just not meant to be a mom....I just want to give up.

I also have had three failed IUIs and only one attempt with IVF. I am still awaiting my results but I am currently cramping as if my cycle is going to start so I am fearing the worst.

Let me start off by saying that you may not have mood swings. When I first started the medication with my IVF cycle I was emotional. I cried when I saw a turtle almost get hit in the road but after a while those emotions were not as strong. Towards the end I was just fine. I am usually bitchy without meds so I didn't see much of a change.

You have to have a good support system through all of this. I am not just talking about family. I mean at work and friends. You should really sit down and write the pros and cons of what you will have to go through and then make a decision. I wish you all the best of luck. I am sure you will make the right decision.

So, as of today - three unsuccesful IUI's with Clomid and now three unsuccessful NC-IVFs. What's next? I supposed it's time to reconsider stimulated IVF...but it, honestly, terrifies me. Not only am I totally sensitive and borderline phobic of medications in general, but I just hear horror stories about women becoming nut cases on these drugs. Am I willing and able to get through it?

I know that all women respond differently to a degree, but I wish someone could give me a sense of what to expect and share how they were able to cope with it. Were you just bitchy? Sad? Psychotic? How long did it last?

With my IUIs and on Clomid, I was fine the first two months and then after third, one day, it just hit me - the crying. I couldn't stop. It unnerved my husband so much, he suggested we stop the treatments and we did.

A few months later, I got my nerve up again and I started one stimulated IVF cycle - three days into take the birth control pills, I was such a nervous wreck that I had to stop. I wonder, is there a way to do a quasi-stimulated IVF cycle? E.g. No birth control pills, but all the other stuff?

Decisions. Decisions. I fear the meds as much as I fear the regret I will have if we don't try it. I'm at a loss...maybe I just need a shrink.
