Privacy Policy

Fertile Grounds™ Privacy Policy

 

Dominion Fertility (“Dominion” or “we”)) is the owner of the Fertile Grounds™ social network (the “Network”).  This Privacy Policy applies to all information and materials relating to the Network, including, without limitation any information submitted, posted or otherwise communicated by you (collectively, “Communications”) and the Dominion Notice of Privacy Practices and other privacy policies of Dominion do not apply with respect to the Network.  All information you submit to the Network, including, without limitation, your participation in the Network and any posts or other information you submit can be viewed by others participating in the Network and the general public and can be viewed and displayed on search engines.  Information you submit and other Communications relating to the Network will not constitute Protected Health Information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) and neither Dominion nor any provider affiliated with Dominion assumes any responsibility for protecting, securing or otherwise maintaining the confidentiality of any information you submit or other Communications.  However, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade our members’ personal information with third parties.By registering for the Network and/or using or accessing the Network sites, you give Dominion permission to collect, use, and disclose your personal information provided by you in the manner described in this policy. Please read this policy carefully as it affects your rights and liabilities under law. If you disagree with this policy, you may not register or otherwise access the Network.

 

Collection and Use of Information

You do not have to give us any personal information in order to browse and read the content in the public portions of our site. You must register with the site in order to post comments or interact on the Network. Our registration process collects certain information. We may use this information as we deem appropriate or advisable in our sole and absolute discretion.  In addition to collecting information specifically submitted by you, we may also collect aggregate behavioral information regarding how you use our sites, the areas of our site that are visited, what services are accessed, and information about your computer hardware and software including your IP address, location, browser and operating system type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. We may use and disclose this information as we deem appropriate in our sole and absolute discretion.

By registering with the Network, you consent for us to use and disclose your information in the following ways:For creation of an account and information for the Network;to contact you about the Network and Dominion, including, without limitation, services that may be offered by Dominion;to generate internal reports about the use of our site; and such other purposes as we deem appropriate from time to time.Within the Network, you may submit Communications at your own risk. We do not guarantee that information will be secure or that information will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Network, and you understand and agree that, even after removal, copies of information relating to you may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if others have copied or stored the information.  We assume no responsibility for deleting or recovering any information you submit.  We may share aggregated data regarding participants in the Network with third parties. Some of this data may include the data obtained as described in the "cookies" section.We may also disclose (but have no obligation to disclose) account information (i) when we believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating the Network’s Terms of Service, (ii) where we believe an individual may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights or property of Dominion or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities, and/or (iii) we believe that the law may require it or where we believe it is appropriate or desirable for Dominion and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.Cookies We may use and disclose information from cookies for any purposes we deem appropriate.  If you do not wish for us to use information from cookies, you may set your browser to refuse cookies.

Dominion Fertility SART Inspection: Great Job!

Last week we had a SART/CDC site inspection. All IVF clinics in the country report to the CDC as part of the Wyden Law passed back in the 1990s. Although a few clinics choose not to report we have always been members of SART and reported to the CDC. During the inspection over 50 charts are chosen at random and carefully inspected to make sure that we are honest and accurate in reporting our results. We passed with flying colors!
