Therese said… Hi VA,
Gosh, in all honesty I can't remember exactly (because some were traditional IVF routes).. maybe four our five?? But remember, I am 42 which, due to "advanced maternal age" :), decreases my chances of getting pregnant. Also, I did get pregnant using NC-IVF, I was just unlucky and had to go through an ectopic pregnancy, etc. I think it's hard going the IVF route because people want immediate success (partly due to the expense) but I think people have to remember that couples without fertility issues who are in their 20's only have a 25% chance of getting pregnant each cycle.
I know how hard it is, how frustrating it can be and how heart-breaking bad news can be, let alone the emotional/hormonal roller coaster you are on. You just have to remain strong, keep up your faith/hope and just know in your heart that once you get the great news that you are pregnant and then can carry the pregnancy to term, it will worth everything that you have gone through! All this will be behind you. I don't give it a second thought when I look at my baby boy and I thank God that I was so stubborn and refused to give up in my quest to have a baby!!! And trust me, if anyone had a reason to walk away from all this, I did.
Good luck!!! Please keep trying, don't give up!
