My Day by Day tracking for my first Natural Cycle IVF - January 2010

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, we started our first fertility treatment this month and decided to go with the NCIVF. I kept a day by day log, as I was curious before I started what it would look like.. so I am posting for others who are anxious and just dang curious like I was.

Frozen Embryo Transfer Versus New Stimulated IVF Cycle

Does Day 3 FSH Predict Pregnancy Success?

Recently, a member of Fertile Grounds posted a great question in our forum regarding day 3 FSH levels. I thought it was so good, in fact, that I wanted to share it with everyone. In case you haven't been following the forum, please see the question, and my reply, below:

When is the best day to perform an embryo transfer (ET), day 3 or 5?

As more data has accumulated over the years, most experts (and I agree) now feel that a day 5 blastocyst ET is best for most patients undergoing IVF. First and most important, each patient must be individually evaluated as to when to best perform the ET. For example, we will sometimes not perform the ET on day 5, rather we will delay the ET and perform it on day 6, thereby allowing the embryo one additional day to mature.
